Program Info &
Registration
Welcome to the Walla Walla Swim Club. You
and your swimmer will be introduced to a program which provides
swimming and competition skills, instills a positive attitude and
good work ethic, and enables swimmers age 6 and older to enjoy fun
social interaction.
Bronze
Team
This program
caters to all swimmers under the age of 13, from state team
"veterans," to new recruits fresh from a great summer league
experience to kids who have developed beyond local lesson programs
and have yet to compete. Everyone has a place to swim.

Silver & Gold Team
The Age
Group program covers a similar range of abilities for 11-14
swimmers, or those in middle school. The WWSwim Age Group
program is for new swimmers just learning competitive
skills, nationally ranked 11-12 and 13-14 athletes, and
everyone in between.

Senior Team
The Senior
Program offers a similar range of training services to
high-school-age and older swimmers. The Senior Program
offers practices for everyone from athletes looking to stay
conditioned and hone their technique for their next high
school season to committed swimmers focused on the sectional
and national scene.

Performance Team
The Performance
group caters only to elite athletes focused on national to
international-level swimming and competitive college swimming
careers. At this level, attendance, training and competition
requirements must be maintained and swimming must be the
sport/lifestyle of choice. Generally this will be a select few
and will not be able to accommodate large numbers of athletes.

Adult
Swim
The Adult Swim program
allows adults (25 & over) already comfortable in the water to train
along side the older swimmers at their own pace. There are 2
lanes set aside at Whitman for this program. This is only for
conditioning, Adult Swim is not a competitive program therefore has
no obligations other than monthly dues and USA swimming membership.

Practice
Groups for Specific Needs
Swimmers in each of
the above programs are further divided into various practice groups,
each limited in size to maintain effective coach-swimmer
relationships and each comprised of swimmers of similar ability,
age, and interests. Each group has its own attendance, meet
participation and skill level requirements.
Are you interested in development or
competition? For the Adult Swim, 10 & under and Age Group programs, practice
groups are identified as "developmental" (noncompetitive) or
competitive. For the Senior Group and Performance Group, practice groups are identified as
"elite" or "high school development."
Within the
range of WW Swim Club training programs offered, Adult Swim is
primarily noncompetitive and the Performance Group is highly
competitive.
Progressive Skill Levels
Each swimmer's
development is measured by progressive skill levels separate from
programs, practice groups, or age. The skill levels give swimmers,
parents and coaches insight to specific skill development of each
athlete and provide a means to track their progress.
Program
Placement
Our coaches determine
swimmer placement within programs and practice groups. Coaches
always have the best interests of your swimmer in mind when making
this determination. For swimmers new to the WWSwim program, several
practice sessions are set aside at the beginning of the season for
evaluation and placement.
